Finance Assistant Intern - Barcelona

In this role, you will work closely with our GL accountant and finance team to support daily bookkeeping, monthly closings, and accounting processes across international entities. Please note:

• Contract / Agreement type: University Internship Agreement (Convenio de Prácticas con Universidad o Centro formativo).
• Location: On-site position based in Barcelona.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Support the GL accountant with daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and monthly closing tasks.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Register, code, and check supplier invoices (domestic and international) against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Support the accounting operations of foreign entities within the group.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and prepare Excel reports for the finance team.
• Support other financial tasks related to the position.

What are we looking for?

• Education & Eligibility: University degree or Higher Vocational Education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, completed within the last 3 years. Must meet the legal requirements for a Contrato Formativo.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or finance internship is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Excel. Experience or familiarity with ERP systems (SAGE or similar platforms) is highly valued.
• Soft Skills: Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and eager to learn.
• Languages: Advanced level of Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
